This summer, I will be biking 1,700 miles from Seattle, WA to San Diego, CA, as part of Pedal the Pacific, alongside 8 other incredible women united in the fight against human trafficking. We come from all over the country, bringing our unique experiences, but we share one common interest: a passion for change!
I have always been a firm believer that every single person has a platform for change. No matter how big or small, every impact has meaning.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a bit scared or nervous, riding 1,700 miles is bound to stir up those sorts of emotions. But with that, I’m also filled with hope, passion, and a strong belief in the undeniable impact Pedal the Pacific is making.
Pedal the Pacific uses bikes as a platform to raise awareness, educate peers, fundraise for leading nonprofits, and develop leaders who believe that no voice is too small to create change.
Talking about sex trafficking, the fastest-growing crime in the world, is never easy. But on a bike, we’re able to open the door to these tough conversations. Every time folks asks us why we’re riding, it’s another opportunity to shine a light on the injustices of human trafficking.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will directly benefit the organizations that are doing the vital work to combat this issue. No contribution is too small. Without your donation, none of this would be possible.
With gratitude and determination,
Lauren Gonzalez
